More changes...

Life has so many changes going on right now. My life has fallen into a deep black whole and it happened on October 5th. My mom went into the arms of Jesus. My life changed instantly that very moment she took her last breath. My mom cared for 3 young children over the past year ages 3, 5 and 6. How was I supposed to come home and explain to them plus my nephews and neice that grammy was gone? It was the HARDEST thing ever! I have since taken on the guardianship of these 3 children. I wish I could have my mom back but we all know its Gods plan.
It took a while for Amanda to understand, even still every now and then She will ask me "whens my grammy coming home?" And i just remind her "remember, grammys up in the sky and she is one of Jesus's Angels now" its so hard!

October 5th my mom passed away. :( She and Amanda were so very close. I cant even explain the bond that the 2 of them had.

Mom You will ALWAYS be missed! You are our Butterfly!!! I love you!

Wow here we are again

Well I guess its been about a year again...Sorry about that!

Amanda is now 3! She just started pre school a couple weeks ago! So hard to believe just how fast they grow up! She is doing AMAZING!!! She can count to 30 now, she counts backwards from 20. She can count to 10 in spanish knows all her ABC's her shapes colors her numbers and she is even starting to write!!!! She has grown up so much!!! She is my pride and joy she is a constant reminder to me that there are miracles and even though i went through so much before she came and even after...she reminds me that life is still worth living!!!

So much growing

Amanda is now 2 years old. She is still fairly small she weighs 23 pounds and is only 31 1/2 inches tall. she counts to 20 and backwards from five, she knows her whole alphabet from beginning to end. She LOVES to draw, write and color. Basically anything that makes a mess she really enjoys! We have fully hit the terrible two's stage however i believe we actually hit that when she was about 15 months old its just gotten worse. She had a good birthday considering we were un aware of the weather but the rain held off and we were able to have our outside party. She was so tired and napped so didn't get to open gifts until her guests left. She has been seeing more of her Daddy which she REALLY enjoys! She had tubes put in her ears back in April, and things seem to be going well there. Well i guess thats about it for now. Thank you for taking the time to check up on whats new with amanda.

so an update!

amanda is now 19 months old and running around everywhere!!! she is talking up a storm non stop!! her new thing is baby wet baby wants baby whatever it is she is trying to say lol.
christmas was a blast and she was very spoiled!!! her daddy came up a few days before and she had so much fun with the things he brought for her!

almost walking

Amanda has taken quite a few steps over the past week. The other day she took 6 good solid steps on her own without losing balance or falling! she is getting so big! its so hard to look at her and see that she weighed only 2lbs. i cant believe how much you really love your children and i never knew what this kind of love felt like, its like i can go to bed at night and think 2 myself that she is all i need i can love her unconditionally and no matter what she will love me back! its great!
being a single mom is by far the hardest thing i have done! thank god for my family or i wouldnt have survived the whole NICU thing and the panic the 14 months have been. i love watching amanda grow and i love her smile i swear no matter what mood she was in when she went to bed, she ALWAYS wakes up with a smile!

time for an update!

Hey everyone...

Miss Amanda is 13 months old now!!! can you believe it? she is between 16 and 18 lbs now. We celebrated her 1st birthday party June 13th with 100 or so guests, live music and a cook out, a good time for everyone!

on the upside, her father is NOW a part of her life!!!!! he came up to see her 3 days be4 her first birthday and then he came up after the party. its great knowing he has decided to step up and be the good father that i KNOW he can be!
